Remembrance Sunday

Thank you to everyone that braved the weather this afternoon to attend the remembrance service and joined us in the hall for refreshments. As usual we received a large donation of cakes, so thank you to everyone who baked, due to your kindness and those that supported us we are able to donate all the proceeds totalling £61 to the Royal British Legion.

Over 60s Party

The over 60s Christmas party is due to be held at Newton Village Hall on Saturday 9^th December commencing 12pm.  This event is open to all residents aged 60 and above and their partners who live in the parishes of Dunsop Bridge, Newton and Slaidburn.

There will be a three course meal to start, followed by entertainment provided by Les Petty and the Rebel Valley.

Each village will send out invitations to everyone believed to be eligible however,  if you have not received an invitation and you have qualified for a place since last year please let us know and make sure that we are aware if you have any dietary requirements.
