BROADBAND PROPOSAL

B4RN (Broadband for the  Rural North) are holding a public meeting on Wednesday 21st February commencing 7.30pm in Newton Village Hall to discuss the possibility of introducing a new fibre broadband service to the area.  All residents of Newton, Slaidburn and Dunsop Bridge are welcome to come to hear the proposals

CAROL SINGING

NEW YEARS EVE

Blackpool Tower organist will be providing the music for the New Years Eve party at Newton-in-Bowland Village Hall.

Tickets cost £15 per person and will included a buffet supper.

GODFREYS’ LAST LOVE

There will be a performance of a play written by Alan Stockdill entitled Godfreys Last Love on Saturday 16th December 2017 Godfreys last love

in Newton Village Hall commencing 7.30pm.

There will be an Old Time Music Hall performance on Saturday 2nd December 2017 at Newton Village Hall commencing 7.30pm. Light refreshments will be available, and the licensed bar will be open.

Blackpool Tower Organist John Bowdler will be providing the music for a dance to be held at Newton-in-Bowland Village Hall On Friday 27th October 2017, commencing 7.45pm. There will be a licensed bar, supper and raffle.

Tickets cost £10 per person.

There is also going to be a Christmas Dance on Friday 1st December 2017 and New Years Eve Party on 31st December 2017.

ROAD CLOSURE

Easington Road, leading from the top of Hallgate Hill to Wigglesworth Road B6478, is to be closed for roadworks from 10th July to 10th August or until completion of the works. Work will take place between 6am and 5pm.

The diversion route is via Hallgate Hill, Newton and Slaidburn.

ROAD CLOSURE

Easington Road, from the junction with Hallgate Hill and Hall Hill will be temporarily closed on June 13th and 14th for carriageway surface dressing. Residents and businesses will be given access where possible. This process is weather permitting and the dates may need to be re-arranged
