The annual Newton-in-Bowland Village Hall Duck Race was held on Monday 4th May 2015 at Newton Bridge. It was a lovely afternoon after all the heavy rain that fell the previous day and was well attended by both locals and tourists from near and far, resulting in all the ducks being sold prior to the race.
People returned to the village hall for refreshments provided by the committee and to hear the winners announced.
3 local people won the money prizes with the remaining prizes being distributed locally and as far as Liverpool
1st prize £100 Eileen Lewis
2nd Prize £50 Susan Pinder
3rd Prize £25 Mary McBride
Thanks go to everyone involved in the event, to Mr W Pinder for the use of his field and to everyone donating prizes.

Newton-in-Bowland Village Hall will be hosting its annual Duck Race on Monday 4th May 2015 commencing 2pm.
1st prize £100
2nd prize £50
3rd prize £25
plus numerous other prizes
Winners will be announced in the village hall following the race where refreshments will be served.
