ELECTIONS

On 2nd May the country will hold elections for Borough and Parish Councillors.

In both categories for Newton-in-Bowland the seats have been uncontested and as such there will be no elections held.

Rosie Elms has been re-elected as Borough Councillor and the following have been re-elected as Parish Councillors Brian Dixon, Martin Beattie, John Bennett, Richard Whitaker and Richard Thornber.

DUCK RACE

Newton Village Hall will be holding its annual duck race on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2019 commencing 2pm at Newton Bridge.

Results of the race will be announced in the village hall following the race where refreshments will be served by the ladies committee

DANCE CALENDAR

Newton Village Hall will be hosting various afternoon tea dances and evening dances throughout 2019 with John Bowdler providing the music, For a list of dates please see the link below

Blackpool Tower organist John Bowdler will be providing the music for an Afternoon Tea Dance to be held at Newton Village Hall on Wednesday 27th March 2019 commencing 1.30pm. FLOOD

Newton Village Hall will be hosting a St Patricks Day celebration with local group ‘FLOOD’. The event will take place on Friday 15th March commencing 7.30pm.
