DOG WALKERS
The Parish Council are asking all dog owners to be considerate when walking their dogs.
They ask that dogs are kept on a lead at all times when passing through fields when livestock are present. This is important at all times but especially at this time of year when sheep are due to lamb, dogs chasing them can cause them to abort and after lambing may cause the lambs to become upset and separated from their mothers, sometimes even rejected.
Also remember to clean up after your dogs, please use the bins situated in the village or take it home to your own bins, please do not leave it in a bag tied to a fence. Leaving this in fields can affect livestocks health.
LITTERPICKERS
We seem to be having a lot more litter thrown onto our grass verges as more visitors have been coming into the area over the last few months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Some of our residents have suggested that as they are walking locally they are happy to pick up litter as they go along, in an attempt to keep our parish tidy.
The Parish Council have acquired some litter pickers . If anybody would like to join us in keeping the village tidy and become one of the Newton Wombles please contact Sandra Tel 448289 or email newtonpc@boarsdenfarm.plus.com
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AFTER OUR PARISH
