Nigel Evans MP is due to visit the Hodder Valley on Saturday 31st August to meet residents. If anyone wishes to meet him the times and places are listed below. Please go and let him know if you have any issues, whether it be on the possible closure of the health centre or anything else
The surgery times are as follows
- Dunsop Bridge Village Green 10.00 – 10.25am
- Parkers Arms Newton 10.40 – 11.10am
- Hark to Bounty Slaidburn 11.20 – 11.50am

145 people attended a meeting on Wednesday 21st August to discuss the prospects for Slaidburn Health Centre with a clear message for NHS East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS England. If you can’t or won’t #saveslaidburn surgery, will.
The Patients Participation Group are doing whatever they can to stop this happening and are asking as many people as possible to write to various people/organisations to show their feelings.
Tens of thousands of pounds was pledged on the night. With a charitable trust to be set up ASAP.

Objection letters are available from the shop and Health centre in Slaidburn. It is vital we do what we can to stop this!!!!!!!!!!!

As the fight continues to try to keep Slaidburn Health Centre open on a long-term basis, a further meeting for Patients is to be held at Slaidburn Village Hall on Wednesday, 21st August, commencing at 7.30pm. The meeting will provide an update on the attempts to find a replacement for the current service provider, ELMS, as well as discussing possible future actions.
In addition, a letter is available for patients to sign urging the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) – the body responsible for obtaining a new supplier of services – to ensure the Practice remains open for as long as necessary until a new provider is found. A copy of the letter is attached and further copies can be obtained from Slaidburn Health Centre, the shops in Slaidburn and Bolton-by Bowland, the Hark to Bounty and Puddleducks in Dunsop Bridge

TEA DANCE

Newton Village Hall will be hosting a tea dance on Wednesday 28th August 2019 commencing 1.30pm. Music will be provided by Blackpool Tower organist John Bowdler. Afternoon tea will be served, There will be a raffle and the licensed bar will be open. Tickets cost £8 per person.
